With three restaurants in the running for the 2022 Heart of Del Ray, competition was stiff — but ultimately, Lena's Wood-Fired Pizza & Tap won the annual challenge.
The competition is sponsored by Visit Del Ray and resident's are asked to vote for their favorite business. A giant heart is presented to the winning business "that represents the heart and soul of Del Ray."
This year, the finalists were -- The Dog Store/Your Dog's Best Friends, Lena's Wood-Fired Pizza & Tap, St Elmo's Coffee Pub, Stomping Ground and Windmill Hill Design Build!
As for Lena's: "It's not just the innovations and the experience -- there's something special -- there's so much heart put into all of your businesses, and being family-owned adds to it. People feel it," said Del Ray Business Association President Dr. Lauren Fisher. "We're very very grateful to have you as a part of the community."
