Le Vintage Wine Shop is opening within the next few weeks at 1218 King St. The building was previously occupied by Acme Mid-Century + Modern, which transitioned to an online-only store last year. The space is located next to La Fromagerie Cheese and Wine Bistro.
The new shop will sell more than 1,000 different wines, including 60 priced under $20. Most of the wines are sourced from small, family owned-and-operated wineries around the world.
Le Vintage is owned by Benjamin Kuna, a sommelier who has run the wine program for La Fromagerie. Kuna did not respond to a request for comment or to provide an official opening date. Comments on Instagram indicate the shop could open as early as Jan. 25 but the business's google listing says it will open on Feb. 1.
