The City’s website published a list of Alexandria grocery stores that have provided information about separate shopping hours for customers at higher risk for COVID-19 infection complications.
Vulnerable customers should avoid shopping in person at all and make use of delivery services or volunteers when possible. If in-person shopping is necessary, customers and staff should stay six feet apart from each other, wash hands frequently, and disinfect shared surfaces like shopping cart handles.
During all grocery store hours, all shoppers should try to maintain physical distance, including waiting to grab items until other shoppers have moved on. A mask can help prevent asymptomatic residents avoid spreading infection.
