Classic car buffs, listen up! Ford's Garage, a franchise restaurant chain that opened its first Virginia location last year in Richmond's Short Pump neighborhood, is revving up to add more eateries in Virginia, including Alexandria, according to TheBurn.com.
No word yet on a location for the Alexandria restaurant.
The 7,700-square foot eatery in Richmond serves up burgers, brews and an ambiance inspired by the history of the Ford Motor Company. So far, that restaurant has earned four stars from 370 Google reviews. Here's a look at the Richmond location menu here.
Branding and memorabilia licensed by Ford is featured at Ford’s Garage locations to give patrons the feel of a service station from the 1920s. Vintage vehicles and gas pumps are part of the decor. An unexpected fan-favorite feature, RVA Hub reports, is "the bathroom –which is designed with sinks crafted from tires and fuel pump nozzles."
Founded in 2012, the original Ford’s Garage opened in Fort Myers, Florida, less than a mile from Henry Ford’s winter home. Today, as an official licensee of the Ford Motor Company, the restaurants pay tribute to an iconic automobile brand by offering a historic dining experience—right down to nostalgic auto shop uniforms and a hand-hammered copper bar top at each of location.
