Founding Farmers will open its doors March 12 at 461 Swann Ave. in Alexandria, the company has announced on its website.
“We’re excited to be bringing Founding Farmers to Alexandria with our farmer-owned ethos and flavors,” said Farmers Restaurant Group co-owner Dan Simons.
Located near Potomac Yard in Oakville Triangle, the full-service 9,200-square foot restaurant
and bar will be open daily, including holidays, serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, weekday happy hour and weekend brunch. Customers can also take advantage of a grab-and-go bakery and cafe offering house-roasted coffee drinks, fresh donuts, an array of decadent croissants and pastries, breakfast burritos and more. The restaurant can seat 245.
The Alexandria restaurant will offer expansive American-inspired menus, including rotisserie chicken, guest-favorite fried chicken & waffles, farmhouse sushi, an expanse of salads and sandwiches, hand-formed burgers on freshly baked buns, fresh pastas, premium seafood, steaks, seasonal crop list sides & more.
The full-service bar will feature handcrafted cocktails made from Founding Spirits, their DC-based distillery. Not to be missed are their decadent desserts, scratch-made cakes, pies, house-churned ice cream, and artisan chocolate.
Founding Farmers Alexandria will provide what they describe as "a relaxed yet refined dining experience everyone can enjoy with a beautiful, comfortable atmosphere coupled with delightful, down-to-earth hospitality true to our farmer-owned roots." An outdoor patio is coming soon.
