First Watch, the breakfast-focused all-day café, is expanding its presence in Fairfax County.
A new restaurant will be opening in the Groveton area at 6650 Richmond Hwy., according to Fairfax County records. The location is a free-standing building in front of the Beacon Center Shopping Mall, which is also home to Lowe's.
There are already two First Watch locations in the greater Alexandria area — one in Franconia and one in Bailey's Crossroads. Other locations include Falls Church (coming soon), and Fair Lakes. Restaurants in Reston and Idylwood will also open in 2025.
First Watch offers traditional favorites, such as pancakes, omelets, sandwiches and salads, alongside specialty items like a fresh juice bar, Farm Stand Tacos, Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, Quinoa Power Bowls, Avocado Toast and more. You'll be able to dine in, pick up or order delivery using the restaurant's app.
There are more than 400 First Watch restaurants located in 29 states. Headquartered in University Park, Florida, the restaurant was founded in 1983 in Pacific Grove, Calif. by John Sullivan and Ken Penderey. The name is a nautical reference to the first work shift aboard a ship.
