More than a dozen wineries will participate in the 10th annual Fauquier County Wine Showcase, celebrating the Northern Virginia region’s viticulture heritage and locally crafted wines.
The event will be held Feb. 21 at the historic Airlie Hotel in Warrenton, about an hour’s drive west from Alexandria.
“Our county is home to a vibrant tapestry of vineyards and wineries, each contributing to Virginia’s thriving wine scene,” says Fauquier County Tourism Coordinator Laura Torpy.
“The Fauquier County Wine Showcase is a platform to celebrate our local winemakers and the exceptional quality of wines produced right here in our community.”
An Immersive Experience
During the event, attendees will have the chance to sample an array of wines — red, white, rosé, and sparkling — offering a glimpse into the terroir and craftsmanship that define Fauquier County wines. It will include:
Curated selections from 13 Fauquier County wineries.
Conversations with owners, winemakers, and winery staff to gain insights into the art of winemaking.
Gourmet cuisine crafted by Airlie’s renowned chef, created to pair perfectly with the wines.
Wine purchases available on-site, so guests can take home their favorites.
The event is designed to provide a tasting room atmosphere, allowing visitors to talk directly with the people behind the wines and taste a variety of wine styles.
“You’ll be getting the same experience you’d have in a tasting room,” Torpy said. “So it’s like having 13 tasting rooms in one place.”
Get Your Tickets in Advance
Tickets for the event must be purchased in advance, and you can get them here. They will not be sold at the door.
There are two tasting time slots, plus additional options. General admission tickets include the wine tastings and hors d'oeuvres. Each guest will receive a commemorative wine glass and a wine tote to fill with purchases to take home. Those who fill the entire bag will also receive a prize.
Make It a Weekend Getaway
There are VIP tickets as well as options to add brunch beforehand or dinner afterward.
In addition, the Airlie is offering special event rates for overnight accommodations, giving guests the chance to explore Fauquier County’s unique restaurants and boutique shops.

The showcase offers an introduction to a region that’s home to some of Viriginia’s most lauded wineries. The participating wineries, which will each offer samples of up to three wines, will be:

“The Fauquier County Wine Showcase is more than an event — it’s a testament to the county’s commitment to supporting local agritourism and fostering a thriving wine industry,” said Torpy. “By attending, you’re not just indulging in fine wines — you’re also supporting the sustainability and growth of the region’s viticultural landscape.”
