Alexandria residents originally from Texas or other states along America’s southern border say it’s tough to find good Tex-Mex food here in the DMV. Dos Jefes Tex-Mex Restaurant is attempting to fill that void.
The restaurant is finally opening its doors at 2249 Huntington Ave. on March 8 at 10 a.m.
The restaurant was originally supposed to open the end of last March, but a number of construction delays postponed the opening for almost a year.
“Thanks everyone for following up on this project. Today 2Jefes Tex-Mex has the honor of announcing a soft opening! On Tuesday, March 8, starting at 10 a.m. and on Wednesday, March 9 the GRAND OPENING from 10 a.m. onwards! COME,” the restaurant owners announced on Facebook.
The restaurant will serve popular drinks like mojitos, sangria and margaritas as well as a variety of traditional Tex-Mex dishes like fajitas, enchiladas and burritos. A full menu is posted on the restaurant’s Facebook page.
