Misha’s is moving forward on renovating the space for a second coffeehouse at 6 Prince St., near the waterfront, and that location is expected to have rooftop dining.
A total renovation of the property is underway with the roof, floor and some walls being torn down; one brick wall is being torn down and the bricks salvaged to be repurposed.
Construction permits filed with the city show $400,000 being spent on new construction and alterations.
The popular local coffee shop plans to add outdoor rooftop dining seats to their new restaurant. The coffee shop will have a total of 48 seats, with no more than 28 of those outdoors. The outdoor hours of operation for the new Misha's location would be 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
6 Prince Street was once the home of Olde Town Gemstones.
Misha’s recently moved its original coffee shop from its longtime location at 102 S. Patrick St. to 917 King St. Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams is expected to open soon at Misha's former original location on Patrick Street.
Misha’s had been on S. Patrick Street since 1991. The 917 King St. location was formerly home to Radiance MedSpa, which moved to Columbus Street.
