Columbia Firehouse, a restaurant that closed early in the pandemic days of 2020, is making plans to reopen.
While a full reopening may not occur until 2023, the restaurant will be welcoming guests during Scottish Christmas Walk day on Saturday, Dec. 3.
In an email to customers, the owners wrote: "As we look forward to reopening in early '23, we're reopening the bar for one day only for the Scottish Walk! We've missed you, so we hope you'll come by and say hello! Swing through after the Old Town Scottish Walk for some delicious drafts, housemade cocktails, and outstanding wines, along with some tasty dishes from our kitchen for the occasion! Our friends at Buzz Bakeshop will also be in attendance serving hot chocolate and seasonal treats outside, along with some stellar holiday gift items!"
The restaurant will also be open for the World Cup on Saturday starting at 10 a.m.
The venue is also inviting people to host holiday get-together and private parties there.
The historic building at 109 S. St. Asaph St. was built in the late 1800s.
