Alexandria's own Noah Lyles is coming home with at least one gold medal from the Olympics in Paris, and he's been honored with a burger at Del Ray's Holy Cow.
Lyles won the men's 100m earlier this week by just .005 seconds, and he will be competing in the 200m finals today. (There's a watch party at Alexandria City High School this afternoon from 1 - 3 p.m.)
The burger features cheddar, bacon, sweet pickles, lettuce, tomato and ranch dressing on an angus burger, sandwiched in a brioche bun, according to Holy Cow.
The burger-focused restaurant at 2312 Mt. Vernon Ave. has a Burger of the Month tradition that often plays on current events (worldwide or local).
Diners who finish the burger is 9.79 seconds, the time it took Lyles to finish running 100 meters, and your burger will be free. But you might have a stomach ache.
In other Olympics news, Alexandria's Christian Tabash won bronze in the men's 8 rowing final this week.
