Bonchon Chicken
Bonchon, a global leader in Korean fried chicken, has reopened in nearby Annandale, at 7215 Columbia Pike, in the shopping center anchored by Giant.
The new location joins a Bonchon at Bradlee Shopping Center in Alexandria that opened about three years ago, adjacent to Starbucks facing King Street.
Bonchon Chicken started in South Korea in 2002, and its name means "hometown." The chicken is hand battered, double fried and covered in sauce, giving the chicken a crunchy exterior and tender meat.
Bonchon Chicken also has a restaurant in the Alexandria area at 6852 Richmond Hwy. (The Beacon at Groveton), in addition to restaurants in Springfield and Arlington.
Franchise owner Song Kyong will operate the new Annandale restaurant in a fast casual format. The reopening of Bonchon Annandale adds to the growing presence of Bonchon locations in Fairfax County, following their recent opening in Herndon.
