Bollywood Masala, a popular Indian restaurant in La Plata, Maryland, has plans to open a restaurant on King Street.
A simple white sign on the door of the former Ichiban Sushi House, at 211 King St., announces the plans. Ichiban Sushi House closed and is looking for a new venue.
Bollywood Masala is a highly-rated, family-owned restaurant in Maryland. Rajat Malhotra and his wife Punita opened the restaurant in 2009. In addition to a lunch buffet, the restaurant has an extensive menu of traditional Northern Indian dishes such as curries, madras, masalas and more.
The company has not announced an opening date.
