The restaurant reservation service OpenTable released its "100 Most Popular Restaurants for Outdoor Dining in America" list — and one Alexandria restaurant made the cut.
Ada's on the River in Old Town was the only Alexandria restaurant listed. (L’Auberge Chez Francois in Great Falls and Ruthie’s All-Day in Arlington also made the list.)
Ada's has more than 2,600 reviews on the OpenTable platform and has an overall rating of 4.7 out of 5 stars. "Built around a custom wood-burning oven and featuring stunning panoramic views of the Potomac River, Ada's on the River draws inspiration from the ingenuity of Ada Lovelace, one of the greatest mathematicians of the 19th century. Ada's menus feature a selection of wood-fired prime steaks, fresh seafood and vegetarian fare, in addition to an extensive beer, wine and cocktail list," according to OpenTable.
Ada's on the River opened in early 2021 and is an Alexandria Restaurant Partners venue. "This is the biggest and most grandiose project we've done to date," said Dave Nicholas, a partner with Alexandria Restaurant Partners, when it opened.
