250th Army Birthday Parade in DC June 14
On Saturday, June 14, 2025, the U.S. Army’s 250th Birthday Parade will take place in the District of Columbia. The Army’s 250th Birthday Parade is designated a National Special Security Event by the Department of Homeland Security, a designation that is based in part on the event’s significance, size, and attendees.
Increased local security measures will be in place in the days leading up to, during and immediately following the Army’s 250th Birthday Parade. In conjunction with this event, there will be parking restrictions and street closures in Downtown that motorists should take into consideration, provided by the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD).

All street closures and listed times are subject to change based upon prevailing or unexpected conditions. The public should be guided by the posted emergency no parking signage. All vehicles that are parked in violation of the emergency no parking signs will be ticketed and towed.
The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) announced that beginning at 11 p.m. on Thursday, June 12, until 7 a.m. on Monday, June 16, over 10 Metrobus routes will detour to accommodate the parade and subsequent festival. See full details HERE.
