Vigil to #EndWhiteSilence in Alexandria
Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ) is a chapter of a national network of groups and individuals organizing white people for racial justice. They will be hosting a vigil to show that George Floyd’s and Breonna Taylor’s murderers were not just rogue cops, but they represent underlying conditions of racist policing that manifest here in northern Virginia as well.
Please bring signs that read #EndWhiteSilence and/or #BlackLivesMatter.
Social distancing will be observed. Please wear a mask.
There will be designated police and press liaisons. Please do not speak to the police or press.
