When an artist crafts in a smaller scale, each piece invites—even insists—on a more intimate look. A tray with crystalline glazes beckons to be lifted in order to marvel at the minute crystals formed in the firing process. A vase that mimics a tree trunk might reveal a tiny ladybug upon close inspection. January’s exhibit reveals more of those careful and even painstaking details that truly shows the artist’s hand.
