Halloween isn’t a month long, for sure, but October is a perfect springboard for Scope artists to delve into the dark side, delight in the whimsical, yield to the spirits of other generations. This month, you’ll find (we won’t blindfold you, don’t worry), an array of sculptural and functional works that embraces the wild, the wildly irreverent, the inspired. Anthropomorphic pigs, cats, fish, and birds will all be the gallery’s familiars. As ever our artists are presenting their own individual improvisations on our theme. (Vampires and werewolves have not yet made a commitment to the exhibit. You can imagine how difficult it is to book the supernatural. Featuring the Kiln Club..
The “Scope-tacular” show at Scope Gallery runs October 1 - 31, 2021. Hours are Wednesday - Sunday 11:00 am till 5:30 pm. Please check torpedofactory.org or scopegallery.org for any changes to scheduled opening times. In response to Covid19 the Torpedo Factory will be requiring that face masks be worn while in the building. Scope Gallery will limit the amount of customers in the gallery to ten at a time and will have hand sanitizer available.
