Join us to honor Black History Month with a special performance of the poetry and works Langston Hughes; poet, novelist, playwright, lyricist and activist who was one of the earliest innovators of the literary art form known as Jazz Poetry.
The program features Charles Williams, celebrated vocalist, accompanied by Gary Prince on guitar. Williams is well known throughout the region for his portrayal of Langston Hughes' works. Through his music and verbal interpretation, we get a glimpse into one of the most important writers and thinkers of the Harlem Renaissance movement.
