National Children's Museum Gala 2024
Play Soirée is National Children's Museum's signature fundraising gala, a whimsical evening that combines elegance and play, celebrating champions of play-based learning and fueling world-class science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) education. National Children's Museum is a premier family destination in downtown DC for hands-on learning through play, offering immersive STEAM exhibits and programs that spark curiosity and ignite creativity for children under 12 and their families.
The evening begins in the gorgeous Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium with a dinner program honoring regional leaders Victor Hoskins, President and CEO of the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority, and Kathy Hirsh-Pasek, Professor of Psychology at Temple University and Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institute, for their transformative contributions to economic development and early childhood education in the community. Following the dinner, guests cross the Woodrow Wilson Plaza to the Museum for an afterparty featuring signature cocktails, desserts, dancing, and hands-on fun. This unique fundraiser unites DC's education advocates, business leaders, and community champions for an evening that's as playful as it is impactful, inviting guests to experience the Museum after dark.
