Patty Owens, Nepenthe Gallery's Curator, will lead a discussion on Thomas Sully’s Athenaeum Portrait of George Washington. The masterpiece is currently on loan to the gallery from the Owens Foundation/Muscarelle Museum of Art at William & Mary. Nepenthe is proud to exhibit one of Sully's most important paintings of George Washington.
