Unleash your creativity and unlock the potential within you to transfer your dreams into a published book by joining us Saturday, April 27, from 2 to 4 p.m. at MADE IN ALX for an inspiring afternoon with local author Southerlyn Marino as she takes you through her transformation from sideline mom to writer. This event is free.
Discover the excitement behind Southerlyn's debut book, "CREW: A Guide to Rowing," a comprehensive step-by-step manual tailored to high schoolers and their parents. Launched in December, the book quickly topped Amazon's charts in the Teen Health, Water Sports, and Boating categories, while catching the attention of local Alexandria publications.
Southerlyn will be interviewed by John Adam Wasowicz, author of Old Town Mysteries, as one of John’s writing workshops at MADE IN ALX. In the past two years, dozens of aspiring authors and book lovers have joined us for these creative discussions.
During the workshop, Southerlyn will share her writing journey, from the spark of inspiration to the research process, the editing phase, and through the actual publication of the book. Whether you are an aspiring writer, a curious reader, an athlete, parent of an athlete or simply seeking inspiration, come join us for a great evening of conversation and information sharing.
Southerlyn will be available to sign copies of “CREW: A Guide to Rowing” at MADE IN ALX following the writing workshop.
