George Washington: A Man & His River
Cedar Knoll 9030 Lucia Lane, Alexandria, Virginia 22308
Support the George Washington Birthday Parade while enjoying the company of George Washington with views of the Potomac River from historic Cedar Knoll Restaurant. To George Washington, the Potomac River not only served a crucial role in Mount Vernon’s operations, but was a central focus in his vision of creating a more powerful and prosperous union. George Washington, portrayed by Brian Hilton, will discuss his vision for the river and nation and be available to answer questions about his life and times. Participants will enjoy a menu of passed hors d’oeuvres, gingered carrot bisque, a choice among three entrees, and an assortment of miniature sweets. Wine, iced tea, and soft drinks also will be served as you engage in conversation with General Washington in a charming private dining room overlooking the Potomac River. This fundraiser is hosted by the City of Alexandria’s George Washington Birthday Celebration Committee (GWBCC).
