ALX Community recently announced the start of a new speaker series called "Founders TALX." The series is "aimed at giving local entrepreneurs and leaders direct access to in-person deep-dives with notable local Founders - chatting about struggles, lessons learned, strategies and successes."

The series kicks off this Thursday with Bo Davis, Founder and CEO of hospitality tech startup MarginEdge. Davis holds a BA in Philosophy from George Washington University, a Masters in Finance from London Business School, and a second Masters in Data Science with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence from Northwestern University. He is also the co-founder of the multi-state restaurant venture, Wasabi.

Davis combined his education and experience in the tech and hospitality industries to create MarginEdge which now now provides powerful, real-time operational and financial data to over 2,000 restaurants nationwide and has over 300 employees under Davis’s leadership. 

During his talk, Davis will focus how to start your own company, overcome early stage issues and finance your business. 

Each Founders TALX will last around 20-30 minutes with 15-20 minutes for Q&A. The kick-off event will be held in-person on Sept. 30 at 5:30 p.m. ET at ALX Community's Waterfront location (201 N. Union St.). The event will also be live-streamed on ALX Community's Facebook page. The event is free but attendees are asked to RSVP through Eventbrite.
