Travel back in time and celebrate Fire Prevention Week on the "We've Been Burned: Alexandria Firefighters During the Civil War" walking tour!
The tour will explore firefighting during the Union occupation.
Find out how volunteer fire companies were treated by Federal authorities, if firefighters had curfews, and what happened to the firehouses. These questions and more will be answered as participants visit sites of four of the five firehouses.
For ages 10 and older. $6/person for adults, $4/person for ages 10-17. Reservations are required, space is limited.
