Cherry Challenge

The annual #GWCherryChallenge kicked off Feb. 1 and continues through Feb. 15. In the annual competition, local restaurants see who can create the tastiest cherry-focused dish or drink. The event is part of the annual George Washington Birthday Celebration in Alexandria. 

Each restaurant will develop its own cherry cocktail, appetizer, entrée, and/or dessert, in honor of our distinguished native son, George Washington! The competing restaurants and their entries will be listed on the George Washington Birthday Celebration website. Guests vote using a QR code and the winners will be announced on the George Washington Birthday Celebration website and Facebook page.
