Carpenter's Cook-Off
Support Carpenter's Shelter during this fun annual event.
Join the Carpenter's Shelter on Sunday, April 28 from noon - 3 p.m. at The Birchmere and indulge in an afternoon of food and fun while supporting Carpenter’s Shelter!
At Cook-Off, nearly 500 attendees enjoy tastings from 20 area restaurants, bid on hot ticket items during the live and silent auctions, and listen to live music by the Alpha Dog Blues Band.
With the silent and live auctions, you can bid on restaurant gift cards, theater tickets, gift baskets, getaways and more!
Celebrity chef judges this year are Chef Duane Keller, the Executive Chef at the Belle Haven Country Club; Chef Vikram Sunderam, Executive Chef at Rasika; and, Chef Danielle Turner, a personal chef, teacher and more.
Carpenter's Shelter serves more than 650 homeless and formerly homeless children and adults every year. The shelter is currently located at Landmark Mall while a new, permanent shelter is built in North Old Town.
Carpenter’s Shelter's mission is to "support the homeless in achieving sustainable independence through shelter, guidance, education and advocacy."
