to
Market Square 300 King Street, Alexandria, Virginia 22305
Kick off the holiday season with free music and dance performances and a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Admission is free, and the event will occur rain or shine.
Due to the timing of the Thanksgiving holiday, this year’s event is taking place a week earlier than usual.
Mayor Justin Wilson and Santa will light the tree in front of City Hall. The program will also feature a performance of “Santa’s Spectacular,” by the Metropolitan School of the Arts, carols by T.C. Williams High School Choir, and a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
The public is encouraged to take public transit or walk to the event. Visitors to Old Town can take Metrorail’s Blue or Yellow lines to the King Street-Old Town Station and then take the free King Street Trolley to the event.
