Alexandria residents have a new spot to perfect their tree pose or relax in a peaceful savasana. A franchise location of the national yoga brand YogaSix held its soft opening on Sept. 23 at 5920 Kingstowne Town Center and is celebrating its grand opening this weekend.
Grand opening weekend festivities include free yoga classes from Friday through Sunday and giveaways from Lululemon, South Block, Robeks, Misha’s Coffee and others. Vendors Anytime Fitness, Lost Boy Cider, Athleta and Orangetheory Fitness will also be on site.
YogaSix advertises itself as a yoga experience for everyone. “We believe in a world of inclusion and acceptance of each other. Whether you’re connecting to the rhythm of your breath or working up to the edge of your fitness level in class, there is always something new to discover about yourself,” reads the company website.
Each location offers YogaSix’s six core classes (Y6 101, Y6 Restore, Y6 Slow Flow, Y6 Hot, Y6 Power and Y6 Sculpt & Flow) offering choices whether you are looking for an intense workout or a mindful experience. YogaSix also offers yoga teacher training opportunities in select locations and online.
YogaSix Kingstowne is located in Kingstowne Center between Bonefish Grill and the Regal Kingstowne movie theater. The spot was formerly occupied by East Moon Asian Bistro which closed in early March 2020.
YogaSix has over 500 franchise locations across the country including studios in Burke and Ashburn. To find out more visit https://www.yogasix.com/location/kingstowne or follow the new studio on Facebook or Instagram.
