Virginia's statewide sales tax holiday starts Friday and continues through Sunday (Aug. 6 - 8) and allows consumers to buy a wide variety of products with no sales tax.
According to the Virginia Department of Taxation, "During the sales tax holiday, you can buy qualifying school supplies, clothing, footwear, hurricane and emergency preparedness items, and Energy Star™ and WaterSense™ products without paying sales tax."
