Topgolf will officially open its new 65,000-square foot venue near National Harbor this Friday, June 22, at 9 a.m.
Topgolf guests enjoy point-scoring golf games using microchipped balls that instantly score themselves, showing players the accuracy and distance of their shots on a TV screen in their hitting bay. Topgolf venues feature food and drinks, big screen TVs, flexible private event spaces and music in climate-controlled hitting bays year-round. Year-round programming includes events for kids and families, social leagues, groups, golf tournaments and instruction.
The Kingstowne Topgolf -- the first one in the United States -- will be staying open, the company said earlier this year.
Topgolf reportedly hired hundreds of new employees for its new National Harbor location, at Clipper Way and Oxon Hill Road.
"We are so excited to provide 500 jobs to the Washington D.C. area," said Sean Crofton, Topgolf National Harbor director of Operations, in an earlier statement. "Topgolf is everyone's game and everyone's workplace, we look forward to meeting the talented candidates this city has to offer."
Topgolf is also bringing its iconic experience to the Washington Nationals Ballpark August 22-25 in what it calls "Topgolf CRUSH." It's an experience the company replicates at other ballparks around the country when the teams are not using the parks during away games.
The event is a fun-for-all-ages golf game inside Nationals Park, where ticket-holders take aim at targets on the field to score points and beat the competition.The Topgolf CRUSH experience consists of:
- All-day access to the event.
- One-hour game play per ticket holder. (Each hitting bay does holds up to 6 golfers and you may be paired with other guests if you don't have six in your party. We recommend that groups of six or more purchase tickets in one order to guarantee same-bay placement.)
- Complimentary use of golf clubs during the event.
- Access to purchase delicious food inside the stadium.
- Specialty bars with beer, wine, cocktails and daily drink specials available for purchase.
- Access to the Crush Zone with activities for all ages.
