After four years operating Threadleaf, a responsibly-sourced clothing boutique, Nicole McGrew is making some major changes.
Threadleaf started at 121 S. Royal St. and later moved to a larger space at 102 N Fayette St. But the store is now closed and McGrew is transitioning Threadleaf to Threadleaf & Company — A Modern Hub for Cultivated Living.
“From the beginning, I’ve wanted Threadleaf to be more than a shop and our next iteration will allow just that," McGrew said. "By offering personalized workshops and other customized services, community events and online content, Threadleaf & Company provides more opportunities to discover, share and engage."
The store closed on Feb. 20 but a curated collection of sustainable apparel, accessories and home goods are still available for purchase on threadleafandcompany.com/shop.
McGrew is available for cultivated living sessions, speaking and writing engagements and custom projects related to social entrepreneurship, sustainable fashion, women in business and other related topics.
She also participates in a number of local events. On May 6 she will be speaking at a virtual seminar about creating a natural dye garden as part of the Master Gardeners of Northern Virginia. You can register for the free program here.
