2425 Mill Road rendering
A developer is hoping to build a 31-story building that would combine residential and retail at Hoffman Town Center in Alexandria, the Washington Business Journal reported. The 350-foot high building at 2425 Mill Road would be the tallest building in the City from the ground; the George Washington Masonic National Memorial atop Shuter's Hill, at 333 feet, would be taller due to its location, Red Fox President Adam Peters told WBJ.
The company has added to its earlier plans, increasing its original building by eight stories since the project was first reported on. The new plan would have to be approved by the City.
Eisenhower East has been a hotbed of development in the past few years, with multiple new residential-over-retail buildings popping up in the neighborhood. The building site is close to the Eisenhower Metro as well as the Wegmans store.
