You'll soon have a new option for perfecting your golf swing with the opening of GolfTEC at Belle View Shopping Center, practically within chipping distance of Belle Haven Country Club.
The company uses computers and technology to help you perfect your game.
According to Fairfax County construction permits issued, the golf training center will be located at 1506A Belle View Blvd. (see map below). The opening date has not yet been announced.
The company offers lessons for all skill levels and helps fit golf clubs to golfers. The center will be the second location in Northern Virginia; the other is located in McLean.
The company, based in Centennial, Colo., was founded in 1995 in Denver and now includes more than 200 training centers around the world. Company CEO Joe Assell claimed last year that the company accounts for 25 percent of all lessons nationwide.
Japan-based Golf Digest Online recently acquired a majority interest in GolfTEC, with a 60 percent share in the company. The remaining 40 percent is owned by Denver-based Gart Capital Partners and GolfTEC CEO Assell.
