Golf Galaxy will be opening in a Bailey's Crossroads shopping center later this year.
The storefront, in Crossroads Center, was supposed to welcome an Amazon Fresh grocery store. However, early this year, Amazon announced it was pausing construction on new stores as it re-evaluated the Amazon Fresh business model.
The Amazon Fresh grocery store at Potomac Yard also will not be opening.
Golf Galaxy started in 1997 and Dick's Sporting Goods acquired the company in 2007. There are almost 100 Golf Galaxy stores nationwide, specializing in the sizing and fitting of golf clubs and related equipment. In addition, Golf Galaxy stores offer an indoor driving range, putting greens, lessons and swing analysis.
