A new blow dry salon is coming to Alexandria.
Drybar will be opening this spring at 1006 King Street in the building formerly occupied by European Country Living.
The building is being divided into three spaces and drybar will be on the ground floor.
Drybar advertises “No cuts, no colors, just blowouts.” With more than 100 locations in 23 states and the District, Drybar provides blowouts, hairstyling and a variety of hair products. The company was started by Alli Webb, a curly-haired public relations professional and professional hairstylist who started offering at-home blowouts by referral in Los Angeles. Her side gig developed into a multi-million dollar business.
Blowouts are $49 and can come with a number of add-on services from scalp massages to a Mudslide Treatment, up-dos and braids. Blowouts for children ages 10 and under are $35. Monthly memberships start at $85.
The closest current locations are in Arlington's Ballston neighborhood and in Tysons. An opening date for the Alexandria location has not been set.
