The Del Ray Halloween Parade is off this year but the neighborhood is still bringing the Halloween spirit!
The first ever Halloween Scavenger Hunt will feature businesses that have festively decorated their storefronts. The hunt will start Friday, Oct. 23 and continue through Halloween. Families will get clues and have to answer questions about items in the storefront windows.
Four winners (randomly selected from all entries) will receive a $50 gift cards to spend at their favorite Del Ray business.
The Del Ray Business Association is also hosting the Best Decorated Business Contest again this year.
More information about the scavenger hunt will be available in the coming week at visitdelray.com/halloween.
In addition, the traditional contests return this year, including awards for the Best Decorated House, Best Group Costume, Best Pet Costume and Best Decorated Block.
This year, instead of collecting gently used Halloween costumes, the Del Ray Business Association is partnering with the Alexandria Boys & Girls Club and Community Lodgings, giving community members the opportunity to purchase a costume for a specific child.
More information about the contests and donations is available at visitdelray.com/halloween.
