The new Chase bank branch at the corner of King and South Washington streets hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony Wednesday morning to celebrate their focus on serving the Alexandria Community.

Downtown Alexandria is one of the bank’s busiest branches and this new space is significantly larger than the previous downtown location, said Wendy Turner, the downtown branch manager. More space means more offices, less wait time, and a better capability to meet the needs of their clients. The new branch also includes space for a financial adviser, business banker and home lending advisor to work on site multiple days a week.
“We’re excited to be a part of that community, because our town is a tight knit community. Clients have brought their families and their pets,” Turner said, indicating a bowl of dog biscuits waiting on a nearby counter.
