The Alexandria Chamber of Commerce is asking for businesses to respond to a survey regarding Metro and transportation in the summer.
From Memorial Day to Labor Day this summer (2019), the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) is closing all Metrorail stations south of the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport Station.
The City of Alexandria, Fairfax County, WMATA, Dash, Visit Alexandria, business leaders and others are working together to understand how this shutdown will affect residents and workable solutions.
“The Chamber wants to hear from business owners and their staff members about how they plan to deal with the shutdown. The results and comments from this survey will be shared with our membership, Alexandria City Council and City staff. This survey should take 5 minutes or less for you to complete. The survey will be open until 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 16," according to a Chamber release.
