"When we founded ALX Community back in 2018, we started with very little, but I knew we wanted our 'community' to reach beyond our shared office walls,” says Kelly Grant, Chief Operating Officer of ALX Community. “The positive impact that our collective efforts have made has far surpassed anything we could have imagined, truly making ALX Community more than a workplace."
ALX Community has three locations in Old Town Alexandria: Waterfront at 201 N Union St, Atrium at 277 S Washington St, and Founders Hall at 106 N Lee St. The spaces offer event space, meeting space and offices and co-working space for Alexandria businesses and entrepreneurs. ALX Community has more than 800 members, and more than 250 companies.
In addition to providing resources to small businesses in Alexandria, ALX Community focuses significantly on giving back. This includes monthly projects such as making sandwiches for those in need to donating thousands of toys for local kids every holiday season, providing scholarships for local students, sponsoring mammograms for women without health insurance and much more.
