Alexandria has landed on another "best" list, this time a survey looking for the most "coveted creative neighborhoods in the country.
Alexandria came in at #35 on the list:
Old Town Alexandria, Alexandria: Old Town Alexandria is a historic waterfront neighborhood known for its cobblestone streets and artistic charm. The Torpedo Factory Art Center, housed in a former munitions plant, is a centerpiece of the arts scene, with multiple studios and galleries. Art walks and seasonal festivals contribute to the neighborhood’s creative appeal.

From art galleries and music venues to independent boutiques and one-of-a-kind eateries, these areas attract artists, entrepreneurs, and free-thinkers, fostering a unique spirit of collaboration and individuality.
Brotherly Love Real Estate carried out a survey of 3,021 respondents to reveal the most coveted creative neighborhoods in the country. The top 10 were as follows:

#1. Downtown Arts District, Las Vegas, Nevada: Las Vegas is more than just glitz and glamor, and its Downtown Arts District proves it. Known for its street murals, galleries, and studios, the district is a haven for local artists. Events like First Friday Las Vegas draw large crowds to experience art, live music, and performances in a vibrant community-focused atmosphere.
#2. Hilo, Big Island, Hawaii: Hilo is a creative and cultural center on the Big Island of Hawaii, known for its vibrant arts community and historic charm. The East Hawaii Cultural Center and local galleries offer exhibitions, classes, and performances celebrating both traditional and contemporary art forms. Festivals like the Merrie Monarch Festival, which honors hula and Hawaiian culture, keep the arts deeply rooted in the community.
#3. Savannah Historic District, Savannah, Georgia: Savannah's Historic District blends Southern charm with a thriving arts scene. The city is home to the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), which influences the creative culture with student exhibitions, fashion shows, and public art installations. Cobblestone streets lined with galleries, theaters, and artisan shops offer endless inspiration for artists and visitors alike.

#10. Warehouse Arts District, St. Petersburg, Florida: Rounding up the top ten, St. Petersburg has a thriving arts scene, particularly in its Warehouse Arts District. Home to the Salvador Dalí Museum and the Chihuly Collection, the district showcases both world-renowned and local talent. Independent galleries, craft breweries, and murals adorn the area, making it a creative haven with a laid-back vibe.
In addition to Alexandria two other creative Virginia communities emerged among the most sought-after in the country:

#77. Charlottesville Downtown Mall, Charlottesville: Charlottesville’s Downtown Mall is a pedestrian-friendly arts district filled with galleries, theaters, and music venues. The area hosts events like the Virginia Film Festival and Fridays After Five, featuring live music and performances. Its proximity to the University of Virginia enhances its vibrant arts scene.
