Wolf Trap has announced the first performances of Summer 2018 at the Filene Center at Wolf Trap National Park. Here's a quick look at some of the acts headed to Northern Virginia:
John Fogerty and ZZ Top will perform in two shows May 29 and May 30 at 7 p.m. Named one of Rolling Stone’s 100 Greatest Guitarists and 100 Greatest Singers of all time, John Fogerty, formerly of Creedence Clearwater Revival, returns to Wolf Trap along with blues and boogie renegades ZZ Top. Concert-goers will experience two Rock & Roll Hall of Fame icons on one stage performing countless classic rock hits like “Have You Ever Seen the Rain,” “Fortunate Son” (Fogerty), “La Grange,” and “Sharp Dressed Man” (ZZ Top).
- Other chart-topping artists across genres will also take the Wolf Trap stage this summer – including Roger Daltrey performing The Who’s Tommy, Reba McEntire, Queen Latifah and Common, Charlie Puth, and The Avett Brothers.
- Returning to Wolf Trap: Barry Manilow, Tony Bennett, Barenaked Ladies, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Juanes, Yanni, Bryan Adams, and Ian Anderson presents Jethro Tull in a 50th anniversary tour.
- Country and Americana artists include John Prine, Jake Owen on his Good Company Tour, Alison Krauss with David Crosby and Friends, Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit, Mary Chapin Carpenter, and the legendary Alan Jackson.
- See your favorites from the radio live on stage with Live From Here with Chris Thile and NPR’s quiz show Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me!
- Several artists will make their Wolf Trap debuts – including Indie bands Fitz and the Tantrums and X Ambassadors, rock band Dr. Dog on its Critical Equation Tour, R&B artist Charlie Wilson, alternative rock group The Revivalists, and kid-friendly KIDZ BOP.
Tickets are on sale now for the 16-week summer season at the 7,028-seat Filene Center. Look for more concert announcements coming up at the Filene Center; all performances at Children’s Theatre-in-the-Woods will be announced April 10.
