Hollin Farms: You can pick your own fruits and vegetables at this farm located about 45 minutes west of the Beltway. It's located at 1384 Snowden Road, Markham, Va. next to Sky Meadows State Park. At various times this summer, choose from from lettuce, kale, cherries, berries, pears, tomatoes, peaches, apples and much more. Keep an eye on their Facebook page here for updates. Hartland Farm & Orchard: Cherries, peaches, blueberries, apples, sweet corn, tomatoes and more are available at various times this season. The farm also offers kettlecorn and cider slushies. It's located at 3064 Hartland Lane in Markham, Va., off I-66 near Delaplane. Crooked Run Orchard: This pick-your-own fruit farm features sour cherries, gooseberries, blackberries, peaches, pears, sunflowers, apples, and more. Their farm stand also features goat milk soaps, eggs, honey, jams, and jellies. Crooked Run Orchard is located at 37883 E. Main St. in Purcellville, Va. Great Country Farms: Pick your own fruits and vegetables here while also enjoying wagon rides, fishing or petting the goats. Sweet cherries, strawberries, black raspberries, blueberries, peaches, apples and grapes are available at various points throughout the summer.
